Bienvenido a True Ultrasound
✨ 2D ultrasound provides flat, two-dimensional images (Black & White). 3D ultrasound adds depth, creating a three-dimensional view. 4D ultrasound includes real-time movement, showing live actions of the baby. HD Live ultrasound is an advanced form of 4D imaging with enhanced clarity, color, and detailing, providing a more realistic and detailed view of the baby in the womb. It offers a higher level of image quality compared to traditional 4D ultrasound.
The ideal time for a 3D/4D ultrasound is typically between 26 to 32 weeks of pregnancy. This allows for clearer imaging of your baby's facial features while ensuring there's sufficient amniotic fluid for optimal visuals. If you have any specific preferences or questions, feel free to let us know. We're here to make your experience as special as possible.
When booking you will be given very detailed instructions on how to properly prepare for our ultrasound sessions, Maintaining a healthy fluid intake, especially while you are pregnant and eating a good meal 2 hours before your appointment can be helpful. This will help to ensure your amniotic fluid is clear as well as full. Ultrasound clarity is heavily dependent on amniotic fluid levels. Remember there are many things out of the ultrasound clinicians control like the baby's position, the mother's tissue thickness, type and build as well as womb structures such as the placenta and umbilical cord.
Depending on the ultrasound package that you select, your session will last between 10 and 30 minutes. However, plan on spending at least 45 minutes to an hour at our studio so that we can send you home with memories to last a lifetime. It is best to arrive a few minutes early to fill out our paperwork, you can maximize the time you have in the scan room this way. Most babies need time to relax to give you their best.
Generally, ultrasound is considered safe for both you and your baby. It uses sound waves, not radiation, to create images. We do not contact your doctor prior to the scan since this is an elective procedure. If we do see anything of concern during the scan, we contact your doctor and send them the report.
